The one-mile swim took place in Strathclyde Country Park - venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games triathlon - and attracted swimmers of all shapes and sizes, from a 36 year old mother of three with a fear of deep water to a 71 year old Grandad . In addition to the masses, many of the world's top swimmers and Olympic heroes battled it out to take the honours in the elite races.
