When we asked what your favourite Bellshill band was The Lonely Souls were a popular choice. Now's your chance to see them live at one of Glasgow's most unique venues this Saturday.
The Lonely Souls are a band who explore the 60s and 70s sound and visions of the blues rock music universe with hints of roots and country . They have in the past released an album called 'Move your Bones' and an EP called 'Deep Digger'.
The Lonely Souls will be playing at Glasgow's Flat 0/1. This is a venue not known to many but it's well worth a visit. Flat 0/1, as the name suggests, aims to be the party flat - the flat everyone always ends up at the end of a night. Visit the website at http://www.flat-1.co.uk/ to find out more!
Mark Clinton has been playing, and writing songs for the past ten years. He has in the past shared stages with Seasick Steve, Mansun, and The Inspiral Carpets. He previously released a solo cd "Talk of the town" and was the guitar player in Glasgow rockers Kasino.
Paul Clinton had his first taste of rock n roll in "The Shirrel" as the rhythm guitarist. Paul has found his calling singing and playing acoustic guitar in the Lonely Souls. Comparisons of his voice have included Mick Jagger but he is happy as long as he is better singer than his brother.
A one time musical mercenary, Kieran McCusker arrived from out of a folky dimension to add some original guitar work to the melting pot, and has never looked back.
Craig Wales and Mark Thomson (aka Walesy and Thommo) may as well be brothers. They have been playing together as the rhythm section in various different bands through the years from Colossal to more recently the Full Tonne band.
They have been misbehaving as long as they have been playing together and refuse to apologise for it. Together they make a wonderful racket.
